What's In a Name?

I've been asked a lot if "Ronan" means anything. So once and for all, YES, it does. The name has a couple of different meanings...

First, Ronan is Gaelic for "little seal".

Secondly, "Ronan" is Old Norse for "powerful, rules with counsel".

So there you have it!

The Miracle of Swaddling

Dad says swaddling is a gift from the Gods. I suppose he's kind of right since it seems to settle me down when I'm feeling a bit aggitated. It's the simple things, you know...

Anyway, Wikipedia had an interesting entry for swaddling, you should check it out.

Sleeping Like a Baby

Excitement this morning in the house as I went through the night without crying. My name is Ronan, it's nice!

Superbowl T-Shirt

My friend Jim dropped off the t-shirt I'll be wearing on Super Bowl Sunday. Mom doesn't approve, but Dad thinks it's the shiznits.

Afterbirth Video

Dad grabbed this quick video of me a few minutes after birth. I couldn't wait to start eating!

El Sol

I woke up content this morning having spent most of the night eating every 1-2 hours. I think I wore mom and dad out, but they'll be ok.

I spent the morning in my bed, mostly in indirect sunlight which the doctor said was the cool thing to do. I kind of got bored with that so mom picked me up and napped with me in the bed until lunch.

All and all, feeling good!

Land of Giants

Having been around for only a short while, it's already clear that people like to bug me. Particularly, when I'm sleeping. I set my camera on auto to capture these irritations and you can see for yourself what I've got to put up with.

So, I'm now taking matters into my own hands and bugging THEM when THEY sleep! You should see their faces.

Oh yeah, and I'm leaving little "surprises" for them about 10 times a day.

Fantastic stuff.

In the Beginning

I was born at 1 P.M. after 19 long hours of labor. All the nurses said I had a nice round head. I'm sure that's what they tell everyone.
